The Institute will be staffed by visiting and resident teaching staff whom we will appoint over the next few months. Three professors will be supported by a range of administrative and technical support staff.

The masters–level programme will be taught by the project mode, with emphasis on integrating practical skills and theoretical understanding. The programme is residential, and great importance is placed on team–work and the creation of a reflective and creative community. The Institute's location in Ivrea, with a hall of residence nearby, provides the ideal environment for this. The Institute will also develop a research studio; this will attract collaborators from industry, governmental and city agencies.

PROFESSORS We are building a team of senior people who have experience of interaction design at a high level and come from a range of different backgrounds such as design, technology, human sciences and media studies. The Institute is a new venture, and this is a unique opportunity to join the team that will shape its future. Each professor will also be responsible for the co–ordination of a different aspect of the Institute's work. Professors will do both research and teaching; a proportion of their time will be allocated for consultancy. The ideal candidates will have experience of project-based teaching at postgraduate level.

We are looking for three professors for the Institute:

Professor responsible for the teaching programme
Professor responsible for design and technology innovation projects
Professor responsible for communication of the Institute's work
